GREENVILLE, NC — Maryland took down Old Dominion in three sets (25-19, 25-14, 25-18) on Saturday afternoon to wrap up the ECU Tournament. The Terps (10-1) swept their eighth straight opponent, marking a new program record for consecutive three-set sweeps.

A pair of freshmen had career days as Brooklynne Brass recorded a career-high 11 kills and Marlee Sivak logged a career-high 10. Eva Rohrbach collected eight kills while Ava Brown tallied seven kills and 3.5 blocks. Sara Toth added 39 assists and 2 aces to her season totals in the win over the Monarchs (4-7).

The Terps kept their mojo rolling with a 25-19 victory in the first set before a dominant 25-14 victory in the second set put them a frame away from history. Maryland's 25-18 win in the third set secured their program-record eighth consecutive three-set sweep. The Terps' nine-match winning streak marks the program's longest since starting the 2021 season 13-0. Maryland will carry significant momentum into Big Ten play, which opens against Purdue on Sept. 24.

How it Happened:
1st Set:

Brown recorded the first kill of the day.
ODU jumped out to a lead before Brown tied the set with an ace.
A 5-1 Maryland run built an 11-8 lead.
The Terps took a 15-10 lead into the media timeout.
Back-to-back kills from Sivak kept Maryland ahead late in the set.
The Terps claimed a 25-19 set win.

2nd Set:

Toth opened the set with an ace.
A 4-1 run built a 5-3 lead.
The Terps pulled ahead with a 4-0 run.
Another ace from Toth extended the lead to 14-8.
A Raina Chwialkowski ace put Maryland up 17-10.
Three straight Maryland kills ended the set and sealed the Terps' 25-14 win.

3rd Set:

ODU took an early lead before a 4-1 Maryland run put the Terps in front.
Maryland took advantage of two ODU errors to claim a 9-7 advantage.
The Terps led 15-12 at the media timeout.
Duru Gökçen recorded two of her six kils late in the set.
Maryland ended the day with a 25-18 set win.
