Maryland recorded a season-high 10 blocks as the Terps improved to 4-1 in 2026.
COLLEGE PARK, MD — The Terps rolled past George Mason in three sets (25-14, 25-10, 25-12) on Monday afternoon to win their third straight match. Maryland's 4-1 record in 2026 marks the program's best start to a season since 2023.
Maryland took early control of the match with a dominant 25-14 win in the first set. George Mason (4-2) hit -.194 in the opening frame (and -0.061 overall), while Duru Gökçen collected three of her 3.5 total blocks. The second set was equally as lopsided as the Terps only conceded 10 points while moving a set away from victory.
