Non-Conference dominance
- Maryland currently owns the longest active non-conference winning streak in the country at 19 games.
- Under head coach Mike Locksley, the Terps are 21-1 in non-conference play, with wins over Virginia Tech, West Virginia, No. 21 Syracuse, No. 23 NC State, Virginia (twice), and Auburn. It marks the program's longest non-conference winning streak in the last 40 years.
- In the Locksley era (2019-pres.), Maryland has averaged 41.3 points per game in non-conference play, the third-highest mark in the FBS during that span, trailing only Tennessee and Oklahoma. The Terps have scored 30 or more points in 19 of their 22 non-conference games under Locksley.
- Maryland has committed no more than two turnovers in each of their last 28 non-conference games. Maryland's active streak of 28 consecutive non-conference games with two or fewer turnovers ranks sixth nationally. - Over the last five seasons, Maryland has won a game by 40+ points on two occasions. Those were in the Terrapins' most recent game (62-0 over Hampton) and in their most recent game against this week's opponent UConn (50-7 win in 2024).
- Maryland has held 17 straight opponents under 300 passing yards, the 10th-longest active streak in the FBS and the program's longest since a 19-game stretch between 2005 and 2007.
