BEFORE MARYLAND - All-Shore Conference in cross country and indoor track as a senior... Fourth in section in 1,600 as a senior at Southern Regional HS in Manahawkin, N.J... Won county and Shore Conference titles indoors in 3,200... Rams won county and conference team titles... Third at section indoors at 1,600 as senior... Second in cross country at county meet and third at sectionals... Pre-Maryland PRs of 2:20 in 800, 5:01 in 1,600, 10:55 in 3,200, 4:47 in 1,500 and 10:21 at 3K.
PERSONAL - Daughter of Bill and Donna Gethard... Has yet to declare a major... If she could play another sport at Maryland, she'd consider soccer... Pretended to be Babe Ruth as a kid playing sports... Came to Maryland for the atmosphere and selected Maryland over Clemson, Temple and Monmouth... Would cast Sandra Bullock in a movie of her life...
