Biography
As a Freshman: Indoor- Finished fourth in the 1,000 meter run at the Delaware Invitational, setting the team's second-best time in that event (3:05.28)...raced to a fifth-place finish in the mile at the Terrapin Invitational, posting a season-best time...
Outdoor- Competed in the 800 and 1,500 meter run, racing in four meets...set season-best time in the 1,500 meter run at the James Madison Invitational (5:02.46).
Before Maryland: Attended Colonie Central High School in Albany, N.Y., where she ran varsity cross country and indoor and outdoor track...she was the Yale champion in the 800 meters, and her 4X800 team won the outdoor state championships two times...her indoor 4X800 team also won the state championships twice...she served as captain and was voted the MVP of her indoor track team...held All-American status for two years...participated in the National Honor Society and was on the honor roll for four years.
