BEFORE MARYLAND - Transferred to Maryland in Spring 2009 semester from Penn State-Mont Alto... Participated in soccer and earned first team all-conference recognition... Had six goals as a midfielder/defender...
Ran track and cross country at Thomas Stone HS in Waldorf for coach Brian Colaizzi... Earned seven individual titles in the Southern Maryland Athletic Conference and a pair of relay titles... Twice named Thomas Stone Athlete of the Year... Captain of track team in all four seasons... Held four school records (800, 1600, 3200, 4x800)... Also ran cross country and played soccer at Stone... First team All-SMAC seven times, including five in track, one in cross country and one in soccer.
PERSONAL - Majoring in finance and accounting with a minor in astronomy... Has two sisters... Parents are Randy and Jill Emory... Lists Brett Favre as his sports hero and his grandmother as his non-sports heroine... Likes pasta as a pregame meal... Always re-ties his shoes at the starting line...
