Men's Tennis Falls To Wake Forest

University of Maryland dropped an Atlantic Coast Conference men's tennis match to Wake Forest on Sunday, losing 7-0. The Terps were without sophomore Jonathan Murchison (Orchard Park, N.Y.) and had to forfeit a singles and doubles match. The freshmen duo of Peter Harjes (Woodbury, N.Y.) and Chris Chiu (Columbia, Md.) played a hard-fought match to Trent Brendan and Justin Kaufmann but lost by a score of 8-4. Juniors Dan Kenshalo (Gaithersburg, Md.) and Luan Nguyen (Tumun, Guam) played a strong match at the No. 2 position, losing to Mike Murray and Mark Grae, 8-4. The Demon Deacons swept the singles matches.
The Terps have the week off, and will resume competition on Tuesday, April 4, when the Terps face Virginia. The match will begin at 2:30 p.m., and will be played on the Cole Field House Tennis Courts.
