As a Freshman (2015): Appeared in eight games and started seven…posted a .231 average with six hits, four runs and four RBIs…made his first career start in the opening game against Western Kentucky and scored a run (2/13)…notched his first career hit against Old Dominion and also scored a run (2/14)…nabbed his first career two RBI game against South Alabama (2/20)…posted consecutive two-hit games against Arkansas (2/22) and Appalachian State (2/27)…missed the remainder of the season due to injury...received a medical redshirt.

At Garnet Valley: A four-year letterwinner for the Jaguars at shortstop … named the 2014 AAA Pennsylvania Player of the Year … selected a 2014 All-Atlantic Honorable Mention by Perfect Game USA … rated the top middle infielder in Pennsylvania and 18^th nationally by Perfect Game USA … a first team All-Delco selection in 2013 and 2014 … selected first team All-Central as a junior … named second team All-Southeastern PA in 2013.

Personal: Selected in the 37^th round of the 2014 MLB Draft by the Texas Rangers … became the second shortstop in three years to be drafted out of Garnet Valley High School … son of Scott and Pam Bechtold … has a younger brother, Michael, and younger sister, Annie … father, Scott, played football at Syracuse and baseball at Delaware … would cast Channing Tatum to play himself in a movie of his life.
