As a Redshirt Junior (2020): Started six times at catcher and appeared in eight games of the shortened season...drew a walk in a pinch hit opportunity to make his Maryland debut vs. College of Charleston (2/16)...got his first start behind the plate and went 1-for-4 with a RBI double vs. Rhode Island (2/22)...drove in a run vs. Coastal Carolina (2/29)...went 1-for-3 with his first career home run vs. Delaware (3/4)...drew three walks and scored a run vs. Bryant (3/6)...drove in a run vs. Bryant (3/8)

As a Junior (2019): Served a redshirt season due to injury. 

Before Maryland: Starred at Iowa Lakes Community College...slashed .336/.445/.611 with 10 home runs, 11 doubles and 43 RBIs...served as team captain and was a two-time honorable mention all-conference selection...slashed .291/.417/506 with six homers, 14 doubles and 29 RBIs as a freshman...played high school baseball at Ames High School.

Personal: Son of Robert and Tori Shahidi...father played golf at Kansas and UNC-Charlotte...has two siblings: Toran and Tynan...Toran played baseball at St. Cloud State...Tynan plays baseball at Parkland Community College...hobbies include lifting weights and grilling steaks.
