Dylan Herbert was promoted to Senior Director of Development in April 2025. He joined the Terrapin Club staff as a Director of Development, Major Gifts in November 2021. Herbert’s responsibilities include identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift prospects and donors.
Prior to Maryland, Herbert served three years as an Associate Director of Development for the Nittany Lion Club at Penn State University. He was elevated to that role after a year and a half as an Assistant Director. He also has had previous stops at the University of South Florida, and he started his career in development as an intern with the Terrapin Club in 2012.
Herbert is a 2013 graduate of George Mason University, where he majored in Health, Fitness, and Recreational Resources (Sport Management Concentration), with a minor in Business. In 2015, he received his Masters of Business Administration and Master of Science, Sport and Entertainment Management from the University of South Florida.
A native of Manheim, Pennsylvania, Herbert resides in Rockville, Maryland with his wife, Nicole, and enjoys barbecuing, playing golf, and attending sporting events.
