As a Freshman (2012): Redshirted … served as the backup quarterback the last four games after a rash of injuries at that position, making the travel squad at Boston College, Clemson and North Carolina.
At Atholton High School: A dual-threat quarterback … a Baltimore Sun All-Metro selection in 2011 … named to 2011 All-Howard County team in 2011 … threw for 1,289 yards and 14 touchdowns in senior season … added 100 carries for 772 yards and eight touchdowns rushing … captain of team in both junior and senior seasons … helped lead Raiders to a 11-1 record in 2011 … selected as team offensive MVP … also an All-Howard County selection in 2010 … finished 2010 season with 1,109 yards and 13 touchdowns passing … rushed for 582 yards and four touchdowns in junior season … also played basketball for three seasons and was a team captain as a junior and senior … also recruited by Penn, Princeton, Georgetown, Colgate and North Carolina … coached by Kyle Schmitt.
