Benjamin Eidelberg, a ‘14 graduate of Maryland’s Smith School of Business, returns to the Terps in August 2015 as a first year graduate assistant, having previously served as the team’s student manager for four seasons and its head student manager last year. Eidelberg’s responsibilities include monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes, fundraising, overseeing the student manager staff, coordinating team meals and travel, assembling recruiting data, and enhancing web ¬based team communications and promotions.
During his undergraduate career, Eidelberg also interned with the Washington Wizards, during which he generated highlight tapes of potential NBA prospects, prepared opposing personnel scouting reports and assisted with NBA draft player development workouts. A regular staff member for Coach Turgeon’s on-campus summer basketball program, Eidelberg has also developed basketball clinics and coached youth teams at a Maine specialty camp since 2012.
The son of Lisa and Lee Eidelberg, both Maryland alumni and Terrapin Club members, Eidelberg is a 2011 graduate of the McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Maryland, where he was a two sport athlete in basketball and baseball.
