Charlie Butler

An Annapolis, Maryland native, Charlie Butler enters his third year with the program having been elevated to Director of Basketball Operations in April 2023. He began his first season during the 2022-23 campaign as the Coordinator of Basketball Operations on Kevin Willard's staff with the Terrapins.
 
Butler has a long-standing relationship with Willard. He spent six seasons on Willard's staff at Seton Hall as the Coordinator of Basketball Operations for the Seton Hall men's basketball team, a position he was appointed to in July 2017. Prior to this promotion, Butler spent two years as the video coordinator and four years as a team manager during his undergraduate career at The Hall.

Butler’s responsibilities for the Pirates included gameday film preparation, filming practices and managing the team’s equipment. He was a part of Seton Hall's renaissance, serving on staff for back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances in 2016 and 2017 and the 2016 BIG EAST Championship title victory.
 
Butler was an integral part of the Pirates as a team manager. His outstanding effort led to earning the title of head manager his senior year in 2014-15.
 
A native of Annapolis, Md., and graduate of Annapolis High School, Butler earned his bachelor’s degree in graphic design and business administration from Seton Hall in May 2015. He then earned his Master of Strategic Communication at Seton Hall in May 2017.
