Chris Robinson joined Maryland Athletics full-time in 2021 and currently serves as the Director of Athletic Administration. A longtime member of the Terrapin basketball program, Robinson brings nearly a decade of experience supporting and advancing Maryland Athletics through operational leadership, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
In his current role, Robinson oversees key administrative initiatives and works closely with internal and external stakeholders to support the success of Maryland's athletic programs. His experience spans basketball operations, team logistics, student-athlete support, and organizational management.
Prior to being named Director of Athletic Administration in 2025, Robinson served as Coordinator of Basketball Operations for the Maryland men's basketball program. In that role, he managed day-to-day program operations, coordinated team travel and logistics, supported recruiting initiatives, and served as the primary liaison with external operations teams, including communications, marketing, social media, and creative services.
Robinson joined the staff full-time as Assistant Coordinator in 2021 after serving as a graduate manager from 2019-21. During his time as a graduate manager, he assisted with team operations, opponent scouting, recruiting content creation, and game preparation. He began his Maryland Athletics career as a student manager from 2016-19 and served as head manager during the 2018-19 season.
A native of Clarksville, Maryland, Robinson earned his bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Maryland in 2019 and his master's degree in Supply Chain Management in 2021.
