Kelsey Knoche has served as Assistant Coordinator for the Men’s Basketball program since July of 2015. Knoche previously worked for the program as a student operations assistant for the duration of four years as a student at Maryland.
In her role, Knoche plays a vital role in the daily operations of the men’s basketball program, including coordinating basketball specific fundraising efforts, alumni relations and assisting with team travel. She is also instrumental in the program’s recruiting efforts, coordinating on-campus visits and organizing all staff recruiting travel. She also manages head coach Mark Turgeon’s schedule and correspondence.
Knoche has played a key role in improving the program’s alumni relations, including execution of alumni events and improving outreach efforts. She also takes an active role in the team’s social media brand.
From 2011-2015, Knoche worked as a student operations assistant for men’s basketball. Her role expanded in the 2014-15 season as she took on enhanced responsibilities in a staff transition.
During Knoche’s time at Maryland, the Terps have advanced to five NCAA Tournaments, including one appearance in the Sweet Sixteen, and won the 2020 Big Ten Regular Season Championship.
A native of Fairfax, Va., Knoche is a 2015 graduate of Maryland’s Merrill College of Journalism. Her father, Chris Knoche, is the color analyst for men’s basketball on the Maryland Sports Radio Network. She resides in Washington, D.C.
