AS A SENIOR (2019-20): Appeared in seven games, totaling 11 minutes, in season cut short (no postseason) due to coronavirus pandemic ... helped lead Maryland to 2020 Big Ten Championship ... made final appearance on Senior Night against Michigan (3/8), subbing in for Anthony Cowan Jr. ... knocked down a free throw against Bryant (12/29) ... scored season-high three points in three minutes of action against Oakland (11/16) ... made season debut against Holy Cross (11/5).
AS A JUNIOR (2018-19): Appeared in five games, totaling nine minutes ... Played a season-high three minutes against Marshall, knocking down a 3-pointer and securing a rebound ... Had an assist against NC A&T.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2017-18): Appeared in nine games as a reserve…recorded a steal vs. Ohio State (1/11)… Pulled down a rebound vs. Fairleigh Dickinson (12/21)…Scored career-high five points vs. Ohio (12/7)… scored four points and grabbed a career-high three rebounds in four minutes vs. UMES (11/12)… made first appearance of the season against Stony Brook (11/10).

BEFORE MARYLAND: Played basketball and ran track at Georgetown Prep... Won the I.A.C. Track & Field Championships in the 400 meters in his junior year… Was on the Dean's List and also earned First Honors during his four years at Georgetown Prep...After graduating from Georgetown Prep attended Kimball Union Academy in New Hampshire.
PERSONAL: Son of Andrew and Meredith Valmon...father is a two-time Olympian, world record holder in 4x400m relay and head coach of the Maryland track and cross country programs for the past 14 seasons...mother is a seven-time U.S. national champion and two-time Olympian in the women's 800 meter run…Has two sisters: Maya and Mallory...Interested in economics and is avid follower of the stock market..A Maryland fan since the age of six...Memorable moment was when he attended the 2012 Summer Olympics in London as his father, Andrew, was selected as a coach on the USA Track & Field Team...Volunteered with Special Olympics during his junior and senior years in high school...Mentored fifth graders at Rock Creek Forest Elementary School in Silver Spring, Md., during the summer ...
