In 2023, Heberling made an immediate impact in her first year on staff at Maryland, as the Terps had their best season since 2011, posting a 38-19 record. The Maryland pitching staff logged a 3.15 ERA, led by Trinity Schlotterbeck posting a team-low era of 2.79. The Terps totaled 312 strikeouts on the season, 192 of them coming from senior Courtney Wyche.Â
The Terps pitching staff picked up several recognitions this season, headlined by freshman Keira Bucher who led the nations in saves and now holds the Big Ten Single season saves record with 12 saves. Senior Courtney Wyche was named to the All-Big Ten second team, while senior Trinity Schlotterbeck was named to the All-Big Ten Defensive team. Both seniors were named to the NFCA Midwest All-Region second team. Junior catcher Kiley Goff led the Big Ten in base runners thrown out with 13 on the season. Â
Heberling comes to Maryland after serving as the associate head coach at Utah State for the past two years, spending four on staff primarily working with the pitchers. As a team in 2022, the Aggies' pitching staff posted a 4.38 ERA, with senior Kapri Toone leading the way with a 2.89 ERA and 14 victories with two shutouts. Toone was earned Second Team All-Mountain West Honors, and the Aggies finished with its second highest conference record in program history. Â

Prior to Maryland, Heberling spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Utah State after joining the staff in June 2018. She was promoted to associate head coach in October 2020. In her role, Heberling oversaw the Aggie pitchers and catchers.

The 2022 Aggie squad posted a 28-28 overall record, including a 13-11 mark in in Mountain West play. Heberling’s five pitchers registered a combined ERA of 4.38, led by second team All-MW honoree Kapri Toone with a 2.89. Toone finished the campaign with a 14-8 record and two shut outs.
The 2021 Aggie squad posted a 14-30 overall record, including 4-17 in Mountain West action. Heberling’s five pitchers registered a combined earned run average of 4.96, led by Jessica Stewart with a 4.64. Stewart finished the season with a 5-9 record and one shutout.Â
The 2020 season started well, as the team posted a 13-11 record before the remainder of the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Heberling’s four pitchers posted a combined earned run average of 3.90, led by Kapri Toone. Toone went 8-1 on the year with a 2.35 ERA and four shutouts, including a five-inning no-hitter, earning all-Mountain West honors.
In her first season at USU, the team went 17-30 overall and 6-17 in Mountain West play. Heberling oversaw the three-pitcher rotation for the Aggies, who combined to post a 5.62 earned run average. Delaney Hull recorded 11 wins, while pitching three shutouts.
Prior to Utah State, Heberling spent five seasons as the head coach of USC Beaufort after spending two seasons as an assistant coach, bringing the Sand Sharks to a 177-92 record including 55-38 in conference play.Â
During her tenure, Heberling coached 27 all-Sun Conference performers, two NAIA All-Americans, 14 Sun Conference All-Academic performers, eight CoSIDA Academic All-District players and one CoSIDA Academic All-American. Heberling was named the Sun Conference Coach of the Year in 2015 after posting 42-14 record en route to a Sun Conference Tournament title and an NAIA Opening Round appearance.Â

A Ft. Lauderdale, FL native, Heberling graduated from UNC Pembroke with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, and a master's in Athletics/Activities Administration from William Woods. She and her husband, Ed, have two sons, Hollis and Hayes.
