Watten on Strudler: "Erica has battled a few injuries so far in her college career, which forced her to redshirt her freshman season. She has worked extremely hard in the off-season to develop her skills and she is determined to be an asset to the program in any role she is delegated. Erica has a great `team' mentality which is one of her greatest strengths."

Before Maryland: Earned three varsity letters as a pitcher at Charles E. Smith High School ... named first team PVAC Conference (2003, 2004) ... served as team captain and named MVP (2003, 2004) ... played second base and outfield for the Gold Medal winning Greater Washington Team at the International Maccabi Games (2002, 2003) ... selected as the Greater Washington JCC High School Female Athlete of the Year (2004).
