Deja Parker is the Community Engagement Intern for the Maryland Made unit. Prior to this role, she was the Athletics Administration Fellow at Colgate University. As a fellow, she served on the senior leadership team and assisted the Director of Athletics, Deputy Athletics Directors and other executive team members with assigned tasks and projects. Some tasks included creating staff programming with members of the DEI Committee, collaborating with campus partners to plan various events for student-athletes and serving as the liaison between Athletics and the Human Resources Department. Before Colgate, Deja was a Management Analyst at the Food and Drug Administration. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Deja worked with the social media, licensing, marketing, operations, and student-athlete development offices during her time as a student. She is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown's School of Continuing Studies. Deja is also the CEO and Co-Founder of Reach Inside, Cultivate Everyone, a family business based in Washington, D.C. that promotes positive lifestyles by uplifting the community and inspiring others to use their gifts. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, working out and spending time with family.
