Why Maryland: "The team and coaches have a family-orientated room that makes us feel welcomed. The coaches show they care for us on and off the mat. The programs at Maryland provide amazing opportunities along the lines of leadership, support for academic resources and getting involved in the community. The academics are also amazing and the business school is awesome. I thought it would be a great fit for me and I still have no doubt!"
- Competed in Southeast, F&M, and Edinboro Open during redshirt season
BEFORE MARYLAND:
- Amassed a 130-26 record throughout four years of varsity wrestling at Trinity HS.The 130 wins broke the school record.
- Single-season win leader at Trinity with 42 wins.
- 3x team captain.
- PA Greco State Champ, 3rd place in PA Freestyles.
- Trojan War Tournament champion.
- Totaled 54 falls in his career, including 20 as a senior.
- Two-time Pennsylvania 2A district champion, one-time regional champ
- Placed sixth in the state as a senior in 2023.
- Won the District 3 Wrestling Coaches Association 2022-23 Scholarship For Books Award.
- Won Mr. Mini Thon by raising $12,825 for pediatric cancer patient.
- National Honors Society member and Spanish society member
PERSONAL:
- Son of Josh and Jill, father Josh was a Division I wrestler at Wilkes University.
- Has one little sister, Jayda.
- Sports hero is Miguel Cabrera.
- Hobbies include reading, traveling and eating.
