Biography

2024-25 (FRESHMAN):
  • Finished year with a 5-21 record. 
  • Started year 3-0 in dual matches as a true freshman  with wins vs. Bucknell, American and Morgan State. 
Before Maryland:
  • Three-time Maryland state champion
  • Never lost a HS match
  • 2022 Junior Fargo Champion
  • Sports Weekly 2024 All-County Wrestler of the Year
Coach Alex Clemsen on Garvin: "Tyler Garvin is the best public school kid in the state. We want to always recruit the best kids in the state. It was a priority for us to sign Tyler and make him and his family Terps. Pumped they chose to stay home!"
