Ariana Daley, a Newburgh, New York native who grew up in Clayton, North Carolina, joined the University of Maryland in June 2025 as an Assistant Athletic Academic Coordinator before being promoted to full time in December of 2025. In her role, she supports student-athletes through academic advising, eligibility monitoring, and development programming.
Ariana earned her Master’s degree in Sport Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University in May 2025. While at VCU, she served as a Graduate Assistant for Academic Support Services at the University of Richmond, working directly with Olympic Sports and Football student-athletes. Her focus included academic coordination, mentoring, and leadership development.
Daley, is a proud graduate of Clemson University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2024. A former Division I track & field athlete, Daley was heavily involved in student-athlete leadership, mental health advocacy, and diversity and inclusion initiatives. She was a POWER Women’s Leadership Academy and Tiger Leadership Academy participant and a Campus Captain for The Hidden Opponent, a national mental health organization for student-athletes.
In her free time, Ariana enjoys writing, cooking, going on walks, trying new coffee shops, and spending time with her partner Joe and her dog, Charlie. She is passionate about mental health advocacy, community engagement, and helping student-athletes thrive beyond the field.
