Head coach Brenda Frese of the Maryland women's basketball program hired Mallory Mathis as the team's director of recruiting content in the summer of 2021. Mathis, a 2021 graduate of the University of Maryland, will be responsible for the creation of the program's recruiting materials.

Mathis earned her bachelor's degree in graphic design from the University this past spring. She previously interned with the women's basketball program and the Maryland football program. 

Mathis will be responsible for supporting the recruiting efforts of the coaching staff by managing a content calendar and organizing a general design aesthetic for all outgoing recruiting materials. This position will be heavily involved in the creation of all recruiting mailouts, graphics, and other materials to be sent to potential-student athletes (PSAs). 
 
"Mallory is someone who is going to keep us out ahead of the game the way our staff loves to recruit," Frese said. "She worked with us previously and is extremely bright and talented.  She will allow us to be cutting edge in all that we do and help us put out the very best materials to showcase our program."
