Women's Lacrosse Routs Temple, 23-5

PHILADELPHIA - The Terrapins' top-ranked women's lacrosse team jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as they rolled to a 23-5 win over the Temple Owls, Tuesday at Geasey Field. Sophomore attackers Jen Adams (Brighton, Australia) and Quinn Carney (Flemington, N.J.) led the Terps (9-0) with five scores each, while Temple senior Nicole Ross (Odenton, Md.) had three of the Owls' goals.
Temple (1-5) held Maryland scoreless for the first five minutes of the first half before Adams and Carney sparked the Terps to an 8-0 lead on a combined four goals and three assists. Maryland, which dominated draw controls 21 to 5, led 14-2 at the break.
The Terps return home on Saturday to face James Madison at 4 p.m.
