Women's Lacrosse to be Honored in Ceremony

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The University of Maryland women's lacrosse team, the 1998 National Champions, and winner of four consecutive national championships, will be honored at halftime of this weekend's home football game versus Florida State.
Maryland finished the 1998 campaign with an 18-3 record, and senior Sascha Newmarch was tabbed NCAA Midfielder of the Year.
The Terps open the 1999 season at home with Duke and Final Four participant North Carolina on Friday, March 5 and Sunday, March 7, respectively. Other home matches include Princeton (April 28) and Loyola (May 1).
