POST GAME NOTES:

*Matt Hahn and Mike Mardesich were two of 340 student-athletes recognized at halftime for inclusion on the Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll (3.0 GPA in spring or fall semester, 1999).

*Maryland improved its 1999-2000 home record to 12-1 and won its fourth straight ACC home game.

*The win marked the 11th straight victory against the Wolfpack at Cole Field House.

*The Terps opened the game with a 22-5 deficit and rallied to win. They were also down 18-4 in Raleigh on Jan. 6 and despite taking the lead late in the game, they fell short 68-66 on a buzzer-beater.

*Maryland scored the first basket of the game, but did not lead again until 1:14 left in the game when Lonng Baxter put them up 74-73 with a score under the hoop.

*Lonny Baxter recorded a new career-high with 31 points.

*Baxter also established career-highs in FGs made (14), breaking his previous high of 10 vs. North Texas (12/23/98). Baxter also set a new career-high with seven blocked shots breaking his previous high of five against San Francisco (11/17/99).

*Baxter recorded his seventh double-double of the season (second-most in the ACC).

*Baxter has averaged 26.3 ppg over the last three games, all were Maryland wins.

*Baxter had 18 of Maryland's first 24 points.

*Baxter, the ACC's leading offensive rebounder, increased his league total to 78 with six offensive rebounds.

*Terence Morris posted his sixth double-double of the season (third-most in the ACC). It was the 13th double-double of his career.

*It marks the third time this season (vs. Duke on 1/9/00 and Winthrop on 12/5/99) that both Morris and Baxter recorded double-doubles.

*Morris recorded double figures in rebounding for the seventh time this season.

*Juan Dixon, the ACC's leader in steals, added to his league total of 66 with five steals.

*Dixon, the team's leading scorer, scored in double-figures for the 10th consecutive game.

*Dixon's 61 steal ranks him ninth all-time in a single-season.

*Dixon is now 13th on the all-time career list in steals with 111 in his second season.

*Tahj Holden drew his second starting assignment (also against Clemson on 1/22/00).

*Steve Blake (ankle injury) came off the bench for the first time this season and recorded eight assists. It was the 10th consecutive time he recorded at least six assists.

*His 144 assists on the season ranks him third-best as a freshman and 15th best all-time in any single-season.
