COLLEGE PARK, Md. - As announced on Wednesday by the Atlantic Coast Conference, the University of Maryland has changed the game time for its Feb. 3 home date with NC State, in order to accommodate the change of dates for the 2002 Super Bowl.
The Super Bowl was originally scheduled for Jan. 27, 2002, but following the national tragedies during September, the game was moved one week later, to the evening of Feb. 3.
Maryland was originally scheduled to play NC State at 6 p.m. on Feb. 3, 2002, in a nationally-televised game on FOX Sports Net. The game will remain on FOX, on the same day, but will be played at 4 p.m., prior to the Super Bowl kickoff from New Orleans.
