Women's Soccer Selected To 2001 NCAA Tournament

COLLEGE PARK, MD.- - Maryland (10-6-2) will face Dayton (15-5) in the first round of the 2001 NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament. The Terps and Flyers will play this Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. at West Virginia University in Morgantown, W. Va. The host Mountaineers (15-4-1) will take on the Miami (Ohio) (14-6-1) Red Hawks in the second game at 7 p.m.
For the Terps, its the team's sixth bid in the last seven years. Maryland returns to the tournament after missing the event in 2000.
Dayton enters the tournament on a 13-game winning streak culminating with the Atlantic 10 conference championship with a 2-1 win over Richmond on Sunday. The Flyers are led by Shannon Kuhl, who has nine goals and five assists for 23 points.
The winners of Friday's first-round games will play at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18.
