COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Due to a prior scheduling conflict with Navy football, Saturday's home-opening Maryland basketball game vs. American will be carried in the Washington radio market on SportsTalk 980, WTEM (AM-980).

Flagship station WBAL (AM-1090) will carry the game in the Baltimore radio market, beginning with a 12:30 p.m. pregame show.

Through the remainder of the season, WBAL will carry all Maryland basketball games along with WMAL (AM-530) in the Washington market. WMAL, however, had the prior commitment to carry this Saturday's Navy at Notre Dame football game.

WTEM (which regularly carries all Maryland football games) and WBAL will air each of Maryland's basketball and football games on Saturday with the following schedule:

12:30 p.m.       Maryland basketball pregame
1:00 p.m.        Basketball: No. 6 Maryland vs. American

7:15 p.m.        Maryland football pregame
7:45 p.m.        Football: No. 9 Maryland at NC State
