  • Despite trailing at the half by 13 points, Maryland outscored the Tigers 38-17 in the second period to come back and extend its season win streak to five games. Dating to last season, Maryland has won 15 of its last 18 overall and its last three games in the BB&T Classic. The Terrapins look to make it two-straight BB&T titles and four in the last seven years with their fifth final appearance on Monday at 8 p.m.

  • Sunday's game marked the fewest points scored by a BB&T game winner and the fewest points scored in a Maryland victory since the Terps downed Stanford, 62-60, on Dec. 6, 1998, in the first round of the BB&T Classic.

  • Maryland trailed at the half for the first time in the 2001-02 season (36-23). The last time a Maryland team overcame a halftime deficit of 10 points or more was on Feb. 6, 2000, when the Terps stormed back from a 12-point deficit (41-29) to down NC State, 78-73, at Cole Field House.

  • Princeton's 17 points in the second half ties for the second-lowest total of any team in the seven years of the BB&T Classic.

  • Princeton was 11-of-23 (.478) from the field in the first half, including 4-of-8 (.500) from 3-point range, and finished 19-of-46 (.413) for the game. The Terrapins had kept opposing offenses under 40% shooting in the previous four games. Dating to last season, 10 of the Terps' last 15 foes have been kept below .400, while 13 of Maryland's last 14 opponents have failed to shoot above 44%. Maryland shot 7-of-24 (.292) in the first half and improved to 18-50 (.360) by the game's end.

  • The Tigers scored 11 points off 12 Terrapin first-half turnovers, vs. five Maryland points scored off 10 Princeton giveaways. Princeton scored only two points off turnovers in the second stanza.

  • Maryland outrebounded Princeton, 35-29 for the game and 20-13 in the second half. The Terps are 4-0 when outrebounding opponents and 1-1 when trailing an opponent on the boards this season.

  • Senior forward/center Lonny Baxter scored a game-high 19 points and pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds to mark his 25th career double-double and second of the season.

  • Led by senior guard Juan Dixon's perfect 9-of-9 performance from the line, the Terrapins were a season-high 22-of-33 (.667) from the charity stripe. Dixon is 22-of-23 (.956) on the season and a .837 career free throw shooter.

  • Dixon tied a single-game tournament-record with six steals and moved into sixth place in ACC history among thefts leaders. Dixon passed Duke's Jim Spanarkel on Sunday, who registered 253 steals from 1976-79.

  • Terp junior point guard Steve Blake dished out eight assists to become the fourth player in Maryland history to surpass the 500 career milestone. The third-year starter now toals 504 dimes and looks to become the fourth player in ACC history to total 1,000 or more.
