Maryland senior goalkeeper Ali Wolff was named ACC Player of the Week in
women's soccer after leading the Terrapins to consecutive shutout
victories. In her first two games of the season, the Richmond, Va.
native paced the Terps with five saves, as they defeated Towson 3-0 and
No. 17 Duke 2-0.
Wolff handled Towson with ease, making only one save in the season
opener. On Sunday, Maryland opened up conference play with a 2-0 upset
at Duke, as Wolff stopped all four Blue Devil shots on goal. With the
clean sheet, Wolff is now tied for first in Maryland's record books with
13.5 shutouts in her career.
