
Terps' Gary Williams Chats With USA Today

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - A season after becoming the first coach to lead Maryland to the Final Four, Gary Williams brought his alma mater the 2002 NCAA championship with a 64-52 win over Indiana. Preseason practices open Saturday for Williams' 14th season with the Terrapins, who are replacing four starters and looking for leadership from four seniors, guards Steve Blake and Drew Nicholas and forwards Tahj Holden and Ryan Randle.
Williams needs 19 victories to reach 500 in Maryland's first season at Comcast Center.
