COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland has announced a pair of open scrimmages during the 2002-03 preseason, the first of which will give fans to watch the defending national champion Maryland men's basketball team, followed immediately by the Terps' defending ACC champion football team.

The Terps will conduct a public scrimmage next Thursday, Oct. 17 at 5 p.m., prior to Maryland's nationally-televised football game with Georgia Tech (7:45 p.m.). Students and fans are welcomed to Comcast Center prior to the football game.

A second scrimmage will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. Both scrimmages are free and open to students and the general public.
