University of Maryland improved three spots to finish 12th at the Baylor Invitational Tuesday, the Terps' final competition of the fall campaign.
SMU captured the tournament with a three-round total of 849, edging host and first-round leader Baylor, as well as Lamar, by two strokes.
Maryland was led by senior co-captain John Moheyer, who fired his second consecutive 69 to finish with a 54-hole total of seven-under 209. Brock Mulder of SMU captured medalist honors with a three-round total of 204. For Moheyer, it was his second top five finish of the fall. Earlier, he tied for fifth at The McLaughlin Tournament in Farmingdale, N.Y.
Other Terrapin scores included freshman John Eades (T35th, 219), freshman Jeff Spradlin (T-49th, 221), junior Dan MacDonald (T-67th, 225), and junior Bobby MacWhinnie (84th, 243).
