"The Championship Chase" chronicles the road to the national title by the Maryland Terrapins, as narrated by the Voice of the Terrapins, Johnny Holliday.
Relive the memorable moments that took the Maryland Terrapin basketball team on their Championship Chase. Led by Head Coach and Maryland alum Gary Williams, the Terps closed out venerable Cole Field House in historic fashion. With senior Final Four MVP Juan Dixon, East Regional MVP Lonny Baxter, emotional catalyst Byron Mouton, the playmaking of Steve Blake, the inside play of Chris Wilcox, and a bench that was one of the best in the country, the Terps embarked on a historic trek. A Final Four team in 2001, the Terps developed the toughness and fortitude in their non-conference schedule that would lead them to the ACC regular season championship. The ACC prepared the Terps well for what they hoped would be a return trip to the Final Four and a national championship.
