The Better Business Bureau of Greater Maryland will honor University of Maryland Terps basketball coach Gary Williams with its 2002 Outstanding Achievement Award at the BBB's 80th Annual Meeting on Wednesday, October 9 at Martin's West in Woodlawn.
Over 400 BBB members and guests will enjoy delicious catering while celebrating Williams' accomplishments as coach of the Maryland Terrapins in 2002 when the team captured the NCAA Championship.
Nicholas G. Greaves, Better Business Bureau President, noted that "Gary Williams' coaching really reflects the core values of the BBB; honesty, striving for success, skills learned, polished and improved, and constant training. In the business world, we strive for 'best practices,' the demonstrated ability to be the best at what we do. Coach Williams embodies that very high standard."
There are a limited number of tickets available at $85 each, and tables of 10 also are available for sports fans and others who would like to add their appreciation to that of the BBB members.
