
6 Football Players Earn Perfect Semester Grades

Six University of Maryland football players, including three starters, earned perfect grade point averages during the fall semester and 16 others achieved semester GPA's of 3.0 or higher.
Recording perfect GPA's were defensive lineman C.J. Feldheim, placekicker Nick Novak, wide receiver Steve Suter, and linebackers Charles Luke and Mike Miller. Sam Marvis, a member of the program who cannot play due to medical reasons, also earned a 4.0.
The Terps' football team is coming off a school record-tying 11-win season, including a 30-3 victory over Tennessee in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl in Atlanta. Maryland finished the 2002 campaign ranked 13th in final Top 25 polls by the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today.
