  • Maryland defeated Wake Forest 90-67 in an ACC matchup on Monday. The Terps, who posted their second consecutive victory, improved to 16-6 overall and took over first place in the ACC with an 8-3 league mark. The Demon Deacons, who had their five-game ACC winning streak stopped, fell to 17-4 overall and to 7-3 in the ACC.

  • A crowd estimated at 14,200 turned out for the game, which originally was scheduled to be played Sunday, Feb. 16 but was postponed due to the severe winter storm that hit the region over the weekend. The decision to re-schedule the game was made by the ACC at about noon today. The ACC elected to follow the league policy set forth in 1996, which states that "the only reason a game should be postponed is for travel conditions that affect the safety of the involved teams. Inconvenient travel, which alters normal pre-game routines, or poor attendance is not an acceptable reason to postpone a game. If both teams and officials can get to the site, the game should be played."

  • Maryland and Wake Forest split their regular season series. Wake defeated Maryland 81-72 in Winston-Salem on Jan. 15.

  • The Terps have won seven of the last eight meetings against the Demon Deacons.

  • In a matchup of the conference's top two rebounding teams, the Terps held a decided advantage on the boards, 44-24. Wake Forest, which leads the nation in rebound margin (+12.5), was outrebounded for the first time this season.

  • Maryland forward Ryan Randle (13 points, 13 rebounds) posted his sixth double-double of the season and third against an ACC foe. It marked the seventh time this season Randle reached double figures in rebounds.

  • Maryland guard Steve Blake established a Terrapin record for career starts with his 127th starting assignment tonight. Blake entered the game sharing the record with former Terp star Keith Booth, who made 126 starts from 1994-97.

  • Blake also established career highs for free throws made (12) and free throw attempts (13) in a game. He also went over the 900-assist plateau, recording nine assists to up his career total to 902, tied for 10th in NCAA history.

  • Calvin McCall equaled a career high with seven rebounds and established a career high in minutes played (28).

  • Maryland coach Gary Williams, closing in on his 500th career victory, posted career win No. 497.

  • The Terps posted their second victory of the season against a Top 25 team and the program's 49th since Gary Williams took over as head coach in 1989-90.

  • Maryland has now won 27 of its last 31 ACC regular season games over the last three seasons.

  • Maryland had its second-highest free throw percentage of the season, making 90% of its attempts (27-30).
