College Park, Md. -
The Maryland vs. Wake Forest men's basketball game, originally scheduled for Sunday but postponed because of the winter storm that hit the local area, was rescheduled by the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) at noon to be played today (Monday, February 17th) at 5:00 PM at the Comcast Center.
Due to the severe winter weather and the anticipated impact on attendance at today's game, the following rules for student attendance are in effect:
- Student entrance to the Comcast Center will be general admission.
The group/timed entry system will not be in effect today.
- Students are not required to have a student ticket for the game.
Only a valid, UMCP Student ID is required for admission.
- The following Comcast Center entrances will be open:
(1) the southwest entrance (normal student entrance),
(2) the northwest entrance,
(3) the south, main entrance at the top of the grand staircase, and
(4) the south ground-level entrance, immediately to the right
of the grand staircase.
- Students are asked to first fill the 4,000 seats in the student
section, before sitting in other locations in the arena where seats
may be available.
- Students who sit in arena locations outside the student section
must relocate if the season ticket holder with rights to the seat
does attend the game.
Please be advised that many sidewalks and walkways on campus may not be cleared, including those surrounding the arena. Please use extreme caution in making your way to the Comcast Center.
