Recap| Final Stats

Coach Dave Cottle on the Terps' gameplan to play a ball control game:
"They did that to us [in the past]. They drive you crazy and they reduce the possessions that you have. We wanted to give them a dose of their own medicine a little bit and control the ball a little bit on our end.

"We felt if we could get to the fourth quarter close, the advantage was to us because we play more guys. Navy sometimes drives you crazy [with its offense], and we wanted to give them a dose of their own medicine. We didn't want 15-second possessions while they had two-minute ones."

Cottle on the Terps' strong start this season:
"I think we all would have taken 7-1 after eight. I do think we have to clean some things up or we're not going to go very far. We're a work in progress. We haven't peaked yet, that's the good news. "

Dan LaMonica on why he was able to pick up a career-high six assists against Navy:
"It's a perfect defense to play against, at least for me anyway - I don't have to dodge, I get to sit back. We had a game plan from the beginning of two passes and go from there. Once we got it moving, it was pretty easy to pick them apart ... But it's always nice to play against a team you respect like Navy. A bunch of my family was in the Navy."

Chris Passavia on the Terps possibily overlooking Navy since the game comes between the Virginia and Hopkins games:
"We could have forgotten about Navy being right there between those two. It would have been easy to give it up here."

Passavia on the Terps prowess once they build a lead:
"As games go on our defense gets tougher and it's hard to come back on us. When they passed that ball to Bailey, I knew I had to get on his hands early and get the ball loose. But give credit to Navy. They kept battling."
