SEATTLE -- It's gameday baby!

We are on the edge of our seats in a restaurant waiting for 7 p.m. to roll around. As I sit in the pregame meal pondering whether or not I like my clam chowder, I survey the dinner table and liten in on many conversations. It's pretty obvious we are all anticipating the opening of our regular season.

These two games this weekend can lead us into something that can be incredible. The season can be defined or layed out for us starting tonight. I can't tell if the emotions I am having are that of nervousness, excitement or the clam chowder not sitting well in my stomach. I've come to the conclusion that I am not much of a fan of the chowder, I prefer the red chowder -- my mom's is delicious.

But back to the basics. We play the University of Washington tonight. It's going to be a big game for us because they are from the Pac-10, which is a soccer powerhouse as a league, much like the ACC.

We are hoping we come out of this challenge victorious ... our main meals have now been delivered so for now I'm signing off. Have a great evening and root for the Terps.
