Postcards From Denver: Day 3

March 19, 2004

Did You Know?
When Maryland and Syracuse play tomorrow in their first meeting since 1985, it will mark just the third time in history that the two previous National Champions have faced off in an NCAA Tournament game.

The Denver weather has continued to help the Terrapins feel comfortable as Friday temperatures climbed to near 80-degrees. The off-day provided a perfect opportunity for the team to catch its' breath after playing four games in just seven days. Maryland players and coaches had an upbeat practice early this afternoon as they turned their complete attention to tomorrow's game against the defending National Champion Syracuse Orangemen. The Terps finished the afternoon by fulfilling their media responsibilities before heading back to the team hotel.

The coaching staff once again scheduled some free time in the afternoon to give the players a chance to get the most out of this NCAA Tournament experience. The team enjoyed a very nice dinner tonight at The Palm Restaurant in downtown Denver. After dinner, it was back to business for the Terps who met as a team to once again discuss their game plan for tomorrow. A good night's sleep is all that's left before the ACC Champion Maryland Terrapins look to continue their run towards the NCAA Sweet Sixteen.
