COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland fans can join head coach Gary Williams and 25-year "Voice of the Terrapins" Johnny Holliday as they wrap up the Terrapins' highly-successful basketball season with the final editions of the Gary Williams Radio & TV Shows on Monday and Tuesday.
Holliday hosts the final two-hour Gary Williams Radio Show on Monday at 7 p.m. at Piv's Pub in Timonium. The location is sold out but the show will air live on flagship stations WBAL 1090-AM (Baltimore), WMAL-630 (Washington) and all of the affiliates on the Terrapin Sports Network.
Fans can ask questions of the head coach or Hall of Fame broadcaster by dialing 410-767-9225 or 1-800-767-9225.
The final Gary Williams TV show of the 2004 season will be taped before a live audience on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at the Greene Turtle Restaurant in Laurel, Md. Special guests and surprises are sure to abound on the set of the award-winning coach's show. The final Gary Williams TV show airs Thursday, April 8, at 7 p.m. in the Mid-Atlantic region on Comcast SportsNet.
Under Williams, the 2003-04 Terrapins reached their 11th-consecutive NCAA Tournament -- making Maryland one of only five schools nationally to boast such an active stretch. The Terps posted a 20-12 record, reaching the 20-win mark for a school-record eighth consecutive season.
And of course, Williams' Terps defeated the No. 3, No. 2 and No. 1 seeds -- in that order -- to capture the third ACC Tournament title in program history and the first for the Terps since 1984.
