• Maryland won its fourth straight game of the season and picked up its 24th consecutive victory over a non-conference opponent at Comcast Center. Maryland is 111-2 under Gary Williams in those games.

• The Terps move to 4-3 in ACC/Big 10 Challenge games, including a 4-0 record in their home state.

• Maryland's 5-1 start is the team's best opening stretch since it started 8-1 in the 2001-02 season.

• Maryland overcame a 15-point first-half deficit to win, its largest come-from-behind win of the season.

• Maryland's average margin of victory this season is 23.4 points.

Travis Garrison made his first start of the season and his 62th career start. It was also his 100th game as a Terrapin. The senior forward registered his sixth career double-double with 18 points.and 10 rebounds, which are both season highs. Garrison's 10 rebounds is an individual Terrapin season high. It was the second straight game a Terrapin had a double-double (D.J. Strawberry). Garrison also played a season-high 31 minutes.

Nik Caner-Medley intercepted two Gopher passes in the lane in the opening five minutes. He had 3 thefts in the game (all in the first half), tying a season-high.

• Minnesota used a 17-2 spurt over 6:04 of the 1st half to forge a 23-8 lead.

Mike Jones snapped a 6:55 Terrapin field goal drought with a three-pointer at the 9:26 mark. He scored eight points in 1:21 to cut the deficit to 26-18.

• Caner-Medley had a personal 7-point burst in 2:19 to bring the Terrapins to within 32-27 with 4:18 remaining.

• With Garrison's 4th rebound early in the second half, he became the 33rd Terrapin to reach the 500-rebound plateau.

• Caner-Medley's 13 first-half points led the team in scoring and was the most in a half by the senior forward this season.

• Maryland's defense forced 12 first-half Gopher turnovers (7 steals) and allowed only 5 assists.

• After opening the game shooting 23 percent from the field (3-for-13), Maryland closed the half by hitting 11-of-18 field goals.

• Maryland opened the second half on a 15-1 in the opening 2:25. Strawberry evened the contest at 43 with a floater in the lane at the 18:32 mark. Seconds later, Strawberry converted a traditional three-point play to give the Terrapins their first lead since it was 2-0. Strawberry also added an assist and steal in the opening minutes to propel the run.

• During the first 10 minutes of the second half. Maryland outscored Minnesota 31-8, holding the Gophers to 3-of-15 shooting, one assist and 8 turnovers.

• Maryland's has a 1.29 assist to turnover ratio for the season (111-86) and its opponents have a 0.74 assist to turnover ratio (87-117)

D.J. Strawberry had 5 assists and has a 17:1 assist to turnover ratio in the last two games. For the season, Strawberry has 30 assists versus just 10 turnovers. Strawberry also had 4 steals for the second time this season.

• Maryland forced a season-high 22 turnovers after forcing 21 in each of the last two contests. For the season, the Terrapins are forcing an average of 19.5 turnovers per game.

• In three ACC/Big 10 Challenge games, McCray has averaged 13.6 points per game McCray tied a season-high with 6 assists for the third time this season. He has scored in double figures in all six games this season.

• Maryland has had at least four players score in double figures every game this season. It was the third game this season that five Terrapins reached double digits.

• In the last two games, Maryland has held each of their opponents to 1-of-9 three point shooting in the second half.
