  • The No. 14/16 Maryland men's basketball team defeated the Delaware State Hornets, 68-54, Wednesday evening at the Comcast Center. Maryland moves to 9-2 overall while Delaware St. drops to 2-9.

  • The Terps now lead the all-time series with the Hornets, 4-0. The Terps beat Delaware St., 87-53, Nov. 25, 1989 in Gary Williams' first game as Maryland head coach.

  • The Terps are a perfect 7-0 at Comcast Center this season and have won 27 straight non-conference home games dating back to last season. Under head coach Gary Williams, Maryland is now 114-2 in non-conference home games.

  • Williams improved to 343-180 at Maryland and is now just six wins shy of becoming the program's all-time winningest coach. Charles "Lefty" Driesell is currently at the top of the list with 348.

  • Chris McCray moved into 38th place on Maryland's all-time scoring list with 1,029 career points. He eclipses Brad Davis, who amassed 1,026 points from 1975-77.

  • Chris McCray reached double figures in scoring for the 10th time in 10 games played this year. Dating back to last season, he has reached double digits in scoring 13 consecutive times.

  • Ekene Ibekwe recorded his second consecutive double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Over his last four games, Ibekwe is averaging 13.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per contest.

  • Nik Caner-Medley had a season-high five steals, all in the first half.

  • With 16 points (6-of-10 FG) Nik Caner-Medley led the team in scoring for the second consecutive game (17, vs. American). Over his last four games, Caner-Medley is shooting 60.0% from the floor (21-for-35).

  • Maryland saw four players score in double figures. It was the eighth time in 11 games that at least four Terps have reached double digits in the scoring column.

  • After D.J. Strawberry took a charge with 15:05 left in the first half, the Terps went on an 18-2 spurt, including 10 straight to start the run.

  • The Terps limited the Hornets to six points (2-for-12) in the opening 12:56.

  • The Maryland defense held Delaware St. to just 13 points in the first half, a season-low for a Terp opponent in one period. Over the last two games, Maryland has given up an average of 15.0 points in the opening half.

  • Maryland allowed a season-low 54 points. The Hornets shot 20-of-51 from the floor (39.2 percent) and made 14 turnovers.

  • Delaware St.'s Jahsha Bluntt tied a career-high with 24 points (7-of-21 FG).
