• Senior captain Chris McCray also moved up in the record books when he drained his 90th career three-pointer. He eclipses point guard Terrell Stokes for 12th on the all-time list.

• Pouring in 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting (3-of-6 3fgs), McCray reached double-figures in the scoring column for the 21st time in his last 22 games. He has now led the team in scoring in five of the team's seven contests.

• Point guard D.J. Strawberry registered two steals, adding to his team lead in the category. His 2.25 thefts per game rank second in the Atlantic Coast Conference. He also dished out five assists, keeping him in a tie for second in the conference with Virginia Tech's Jamon Gordon.

• With 14:51 to play in the second half, GW center Pop-Mensah Bonsu picked up a critical fourth foul on a drive to the hoop by Caner-Medley. He left the game and the Terps immediately proceeded to erase a seven-point deficit and tie the game at 51. The run was ignited by McCray, who nailed three straight threes for Maryland in a span of less than a minute to bring the Terps back.

• George Washington responded with an 8-1 run of its own to reclaim a 59-52 advantage with under 10 minutes to play.

• GW senior Mike Hall has now scored in double-figures in all five of the Colonials games this year. Rice has also reached double digits in the scoring column every game this season.
