COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland men's basketball team will hold a public scrimmage on Saturday, October 21 at 9:30 a.m. prior to the Terps' football game against North Carolina State. All Maryland students and fans are welcome to Comcast Center prior to the football game, which is scheduled to kickoff at noon.
Fans must have a parking pass for the football game in order to park on campus for the scrimmage. Paid parking will also be available in lot 4b north of Comcast Center.
Maryland officially kicked off the season with Maryland Madness on October 13. The Terps return eight letterwinners and six seniors from last year's squad. Head coach Gary Williams, the school's all-time winningest coach, has brought in five talented newcomers for 2006-07.
The Terps will open the season when they host California (Pa.) in an exhibition game on November 1 at Comcast Center. Maryland's first regular season contest is scheduled for November 7 when the Terrapins host Hampton in the opening round of the 2006 2K Sports College Hoops Classic.
