
Women's Lacrosse Announces 2007 Schedule

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland women's lacrosse team will take on eight teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament last year, including three of the four national semifinalists, in the 2007 season. The Terps open up ACC action in their first homestand of the season as they will face Boston College on February 24 and regular season champion Duke on March 3.
The Terps open the season with Ohio on February 18 at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex, followed by ACC tilts with BC and Duke. Maryland then travels to ACC champion Virginia on March 13 and national semifinalist Dartmouth on March 17.
Maryland then returns home on March 21 to take on Johns Hopkins before taking on North Carolina, which knocked Maryland out of the NCAA Tournament last season in the first round.
The Terps will battle national champion Northwestern on April 16 in Evanston, Ill. before taking on Virginia Tech in their ACC finale on April 21 in Blacksburg.
Maryland will also face non-conference opponents Richmond, Brown, Stanford, Georgetown, Ohio State, Penn State, Loyola, and Princeton.
The ACC Tournament will be held from April 26-29 and will be hosted by North Carolina.
