Final Stats

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland won their seventh match of the season over the Georgetown Hoyas, 7-0. With this win today at the Tennis Center at College Park, the Terps improved their record, now 7-3.

Marianne Baker and Neda Mihneva played first in the doubles for Maryland. Baker and Mihneva easily shaved off their opponents, 8-2. Jennifer Dent and Michal Amir played next for the Terrapins. Also winning their match 8-2, the Terps were now ahead 1-0, securing the doubles point. Juliana Naso and Julia Graca finished the doubles for the Terrapins, beating their opponents in a close finish, 8-6.

Baker started out the winnings for Maryland in the singles set, 6-2, 6-0. Veronika Subertova also continued the Terps' success, winning 6-0, 6-4. In the third singles slot, Mihneva quickly and painlessly finished, 6-0, 6-0.

Dent played in the fourth singles slot, easily winning her first set 6-0. However, in the second set, Dent found some difficulties but managed to hang on, winning the second set, 7-6. Amir finished flawlessly for the Terrapins, 6-0, 6-0. Naso was the last to play for the Terps, holding on the first set for a 7-6 win and a strong win in the second set, 6-4.

Maryland will host William and Mary next Saturday and Princeton on Sunday.
