COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland men's basketball team will hold three scrimmages over the next two weeks. All three scrimmages will be held in Comcast Center and are open to Maryland students, faculty and employees. Two of the three scrimmages are also open to the public.
Maryland's first open scrimmage is set for Saturday, October 20 at 2:30 p.m. and is open to the public. Due to the 8:00 p.m. football game between Maryland and Virginia, fans must either have a parking pass for the football game or park in one of the cash lots adjacent to Comcast Center (4b, 4i, 11b) for the scrimmage.
The Terrapins' second scrimmage is scheduled for October 24 at 3:45 p.m. and is open to Maryland students, faculty and employees.
The third scrimmage will be held Saturday, October 27 at 12:30 p.m. and is open to the public. With the Terps' football game against Clemson scheduled for 3:30 p.m., fans must either have a parking pass for the football game or park in a cash lot.
Maryland officially kicked off the season with Maryland Madness on October 12. The Terps return seven letterwinners and three seniors from last year's squad. The Terrapins also welcome six newcomers to the program for the 2007-08 season.
The Terps open the season when they host Concordia University in an exhibition game on November 7 at Comcast Center. Maryland's first regular season contest is scheduled for November 11 when the Terrapins host North Florida in the opening round of the 2007 O'Reilly Auto Parts CBE Classic.
